About
The Seaside Gazette is a monthly free newspaper in English distributed on of the Costa Tropical, Andalucía, Spain and is based in Almunecar. It is a satirical toast to life on the coast! Aimed at the British and English-speaking, European residents, as well as holiday makers, it delivers news, views and local info – plus advertises local businesses and services.
The online version of the Seaside Gazette has been going for two years and already has over 2,000 news articles.
The Seaside Gazette hard copy is distributed along Granada’s Costa Tropical: Herradura, Almunecar, Salobrena, Motril, Carchuna and so on down to Castel de Ferro, also reaching up into the Valle de Lecrin, Lanjaron, and the Alpujarra up to Pampaneira.
This online edition covers a much wider area, providing news for the whole of the province of Granada, as well regional news from Andalucia.
The Gazette was the first Granada-based, English-language magazine and was founded in 1993.
The Seaside Gazette provides news via town hall (press releases) on the Costa Tropical, first hand interviews with local political leaders, as well as cultural information.
Lastly, despite having a much larger news content than other publications for the Costa Tropical area, the Seaside Gazette normally crops up on the first page of Google searches for Costa Tropical news, thanks to the sheer content of the Seaside Gazette online version; something that search engines are picking up without the need of any SEO manipulation.
This Costa Tropical online magazine also provides quirky Spanish national news, as well as some of the most amusing happenings around the world (Wonky World)
There is also a large selections of photos on the site photo Galleries, as well as attached to individual articles. The photo selection for Almunecar is particularly ample.
During the course of the summer, taking advantage of their being no August edition of the Seaside Gazette, we will be able to dedicate more time completing the directory and leisure sections.
We provide constant up-date, Costa Tropical news during the summer, publishing events as they occur, so there is every reason to return to the website on a more habitual basis during the month.
And that’s it – as Publisher I just wanted to let our readers know what we are up to and what we hope to achieve with this online version. We also take the opportunity to thank our online readers for their visits, which are just under 2,000 visits per month at the moment.
So, remember, if you’re looking for up to date news for the Costa Tropical, from La Herradura, Almunecar, Salobrena, Motril, then you’ve come to the right place.
